In association with its research partners, INED has created tree methodological units to explore innovative demographic methods such as event history analysis, network analysis, etc.

These units have a dual purpose:

• both "internal", to provide demographic research with a centre of methodological and technological expertise;
• and "external", to build a network of partnerships with research teams focusing on similar questions.
