- means of controlling fertility (contraception and abortion)
- fertility plans
- child mortality and fertility
- living arrangements of couples
- tools for measuring fertility

2) Study of family structures in France
- the spread of couples living out of wedlock
- outcomes of unions according to their legal status and their fertility
- changes in family structures during the last fifty years (follow-up of the parents, presence of step-children, of grandchildren)
