Transnationality of Migrants: Enduring ties with the home country and integration in the host country

This Research Training Network, coordinated by the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), will develop from Janauary 2007 a training programme through research for young researchers from across Europe to enhance skills in the field of international migration study.

Five themes will be addressed by the network:

  • Migrant's transnational practices and families in Europe
  • Remittances, skill composition of migration and social networks
  • International trade flows, foreign direct investment and migration
  • Migrant's integration, regional mobility, social and business networks and trade
  • Gender and the intra-household effects of migration

Under the responsibility of Laurent Gobillon and Cris Beauchemin, INED will host one young researcher from 2008.
