The REVES network

The international network for research on health and life expectancy (REVES) was created in 1989 with the support of the INSERM, the Social Affairs Council of Québec and Duke University.

It brings together researchers from more than 150 universities from all around the world that are working on calculating and analysing life expectancy in health (life expectancy with no condition, life expectancy with no disability...). Their research aims at assessing the impact of the lengthening of life expectancy on health and to feed public health debates on future health care needs.

The network aims at supporting debate on health concepts, definitions and measures and seeks to coordinate data and calculation methods between different countries in order to improve international comparisons.
