INED employs researchers, ingeneers and technicians, in research or administrative activities.

From high school to doctoral level, the National Institute for Demographic Studies employs most of its staff as permanent public officers, after a completing a competition procedure. These competitions are accessible under diploma conditions. Openings are published in the Official Journal, and on INED website.

To face temporary recruitment needs, INED also employs staff through short-term temporary contracts (from a few weeks to 3 years). The domains of activity are varied: communication, IT, human resources, legal advising, financial management but also research of course.

INED also hosts interns, from high school to post-graduate level. To benefit from an intern at INED, a training contract must be signed between the school, INED and the trainee.
