Dependency Ratio

Ratio of the economically dependent part of the population (children and persons aged 65+) to the working-age population (aged 15-64). The result is expressed as the number of persons aged under 20 and over 65 per 100 persons aged 20-64.

Youth dependency ratios and old-age dependency ratios can be calculated separately.
