Submit for publication
Publishing in a book series
All researchers in demography and related disciplines such as statistical methodology, history of the discipline, qualitative and quantitative sociology, economic demography and others are welcome to submit projects to INED for possible publication. The author or scientific editor of a collective work submits the project to the editorial committee. Project files should include a summary of content and the reasons why it is being sent to INED publications, as well as an outline of the book and, if possible, one or two chapters or contributions. Accepted manuscripts are then examined by at least two experts, who make suggestions and amendments for the definitive version.
Publishing in the journal Population
Manuscripts of articles (longer texts) and short papers may be submitted in French or English (see Submission guidelines). The journal translates accepted texts into the other language and publishes them in both French (www.revue-population.fr) and English (www.journal-population.com).
Submitted papers are reviewed anonymously by two referees and examined by the Editorial Committee, which meets every 2 to 3 months. The author is informed of the Committee’s decision (acceptance, request for modifications, rejection) within 3 to 5 months after reception of the submission, and receives a summary of the reviewers’ reports and the Editorial Committee’s discussions.
