Cahiers de l'Ined

The scientific works in the Cahiers de l'Ined collection (formerly Travaux et Documents) focus on specific population questions. Written by INED or external researchers, they present original research findings or develop in-depth analyses of particular issues.

Méthodes et savoirs

The Méthodes et savoirs collection was created in 1997. It comprises a series of practical manuals presenting the tools and methods used in demography, including population pyramids, life event histories etc.

The Données statistiques collection comprises a series of uncommented statistical tables, some published regularly, others on a more occasional basis.

Classiques de l'économie et de la population

The Classiques de l'économie et de la population collection includes critical editions of key texts in the history of demography, economics and the social sciences. It is accompanied by the Études & Enquêtes historiques series which presents original research on the history of knowledge and the history of population. Both series offer a set of major references for scholars in this field.

Manuels

The Manuels present various demographic techniques – historical demography, mortality, event history analysis, etc – more specifically for teachers and university students.

Documents de travail

The Documents de Travail (formerly Dossiers et recherches) present ongoing research, sometimes in a non-finalized form, for easy access to the most recent information. Some documents can be downloaded, while others can be obtained directly from the authors.
Demographic situation
Every year, a series of chronicles on current demographic trends in France, Europe, the developed countries and other regions of the world are published in Population. Articles covering the demographic situation in France are compiled into a report to the French Parliament.
