The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) is a non-profit, non-governmental international organization committed to conducting high quality and policy-relevant research on population and health issues facing sub-Saharan Africa.The Center was established in 1995 as a Population Policy Research Fellowship program of the Population Council, with funding from the Rockefeller Foundation. In 2001, it became an autonomous institution with headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya. APHRC's research focuses on improving understanding of population and health issues through development and implementation of innovative, policy-oriented research programs to address the region's key population and health challenges. The Changing Family in Asia explores the dimensions of family change in the region, their causes and implications.

ODSEF was set up under an agreement signed on 9 April 2009 between the Government of Quebec, the l'Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) and the University of Laval.

Population Council

The Population Council, established in 1952, is an international, nonprofit organization that conducts research on three fronts: biomedical, social science, and public health.
