How unequal school offers are made [FR]

Collection : Documents de travail

241, 2018, 114 pages

The working paper "How unequal school offers are made" follows a day of homonymous studies, organized in March 2017 by Ined and Cist. Focusing on the social construction of school segregation, from different disciplines (demography, geography, philosophy and sociology), this document is composed of nine contributions (the six written texts derived from the oral communications, a general introduction and two original reflections, each discussing three contributions). From primary school to university, in France, Quebec and Japan, by addressing territorial socio-economic characteristics, the authors question the role of differentiated educational provision in the spatial construction of educational inequalities.
