Frames of intimacy and interpersonal relations

The fourth major research area concerns frames of intimacy and interpersonal relations. The second term extends beyond family or formal couple relations because life trajectories are also affected by other types of social interaction, including gender violence, a subject also studied within this frame. The sum of an individual’s interpersonal relations shape what is possible for that individual. And it is within these bounds that individuals encounter (or not) the first indications of how to access sexual and reproductive rights and reproductive justice—precisely the type of justice that will be emphasized in this research area.
