Working at INED

INED is a public-sector organization, meaning that our permanent personnel have civil servant status. IWe recruit civil service personnel, from the certified vocational level to the PhD level, through nationwide competitive exams. 

We currently host more than 40 doctoral and postdoctoral fellows on fixed-term contracts of various lengths. We also hire civil servants on a short-term project basis and personnel on fixed-term contracts in a wide range of areas and positions.

Our professions

We bring together men and women from a wide range of disciplines, from demography and sociology, to economics and history. Researchers work with specialized support personnel, such as statistical engineers, IT technicians, legal experts, finance and HR managers, and communication and public relations professionals.

  • Doctoral students

    Our research units welcome doctoral students at the thesis-writing stage; some students are also eligible for INED funding 

  • Fixed-term researchers and postdocs 

    We host and  hire French and non-French researchers on a fixed-term  contract basis (whether or not they are postdoc fellows).
