Working conditions

INED’s internal regulations specify how work is organized, particularly in terms of work hours and scheduling, safety, obligations of permanent public-sector staff members.

Work life-personal life balance

  • La Work day: 7 hours 35 minutes. Full-time work week (permanent public-sector staff): 37 hours 55 minutes.
     
  • 6 work-day schedules to choose from with immediate supervisor: 8am-4:20pm, 8:30-4:50, 9-5:20, 9:30-5:50, 10-6:20, or 10:30-6:20.
     
  • Up to 2 days a week of remote working, up to 10 additional days per year possible.
     
  • 32 days off per year, and up to 10 days of paid time off in compensation for overtime hours worked.

Work life-personal life balance

  • INED is in a located modern building with natural light on Campus Condorcet, of which it is a founding institution.

  • Les The Institute building and offices are close to public transport: metro line 12, Front Populaire stop; bus lines 139 and 239, Métallurgie and Gardinoux stops. Bicycle racks parking lot access available.

  • Campus Condorcet has a restaurant for public-sector permanent employees located on the ground floor of the INED building.Open 11:45-2pm, varied menu, seated or take-out, subsidized meal prices. 

  • Campus Condorcet Cafeteria.

  • 4 meeting places in the INED building, coffee and tea available.

  • A breast-feeding room.

Well-being and sports

  • Physical activity classes

Available twice a week in a dedicated space: Hatha or Vinyasa yoga, stretching, Pilates, cardio-boxing, HIT (high-intensity interval) training, Zumba.

Collective sports: basketball, volleyball, badminton, ping-pong, organized by “Collective sports” group.

INED staff members also participate in Paris races, including SinaQuaNon Run, La Course à Pied de la Culture, Run for the Planet, and Ekiden.

  • And for “Quality of Life and Working Conditions” week, workshops for permanent public-sector employees on improving well-being at work. 

Interministerial Social Assistance Actions and our Mutual Assistance Association for INED Personnel

Services available:

  • access to Interministerial Social Assistance aid based on resource assessment: housing assistance for staff members, child-minding for children under 6’.
     
  • individual accompaniment by a social service assistant.
     
  • membership in the Mutual Assistance Association for INED Personnel opens access financial aid for vacations, “Children’s Noël, and other types of aid.
