Our ecosytem

INED interacts with many actors in France and internationally; notably, institutions of higher education, research organizations, and public authorities. In addition to constructive research partnerships, INED contributes to national and European research projects and training programs of excellence.

Our partnership in France

INED collaborates with partners across the country, conducting research studies, enriching our methodology, training early-career researchers, and sharing our scientific data. We have formalized research cooperation partnerships with universities and schools, other research organizations or institutions, and scientific networks, including established researcher groups called GIS (in french "Groupes d’intérêt scientifique").

Programs of excellence

Research at INED is directly implicated in programs of excellence funded by PIA France 2030 (Investments in the Future Program) through calls for projects.

Partnerships across the world

INED in engaged in scientific cooperation throughout the world by way of strategic framing agreements and collaboration with international research and training networks.

The Horizon Europe Program

INED is fully implicated in European Union research funding systems. Within the EU Horizon Europe framing program, the Institute coordinates and participates in multinational research consortiums on health, aging, and migration. We are regularly awarded EU grants, including European Research Council grants and Marie Skłodowska-Curie post-doc fellowships, and we are a valued source of recommendations for EU demographic policymaking.
