Application for doctoral hosting at INED for theses with outside funding are possible all year long. The evaluation of applications process generally takes 4 to 6 weeks.
It is possible to apply before obtaining outside funding, but in such case a positive response to hosting is conditional on the obtaining of the funding.
Should an application receive a positive review, INED may issue a document that indicated is firmly commited to hosting the PhD student if he or she receives the actual financing.
This document is sometimes required in applications for doctoral funding so we strongly encourage candidates to submit their application at least two months before the closing date of their application funding.
