Early-career researchers who obtained their PhD less than three years earlier, as required by French law, may be eligible for a postdoc contract, the purpose of which is to enable them to further their training and to provide them with a springboard for their academic career.
More experienced contract researchers are hired to work on particular projects in collaboration with an INED research unit. They are also free to conduct and publicize their own scientific studies.
Our hosting policy ensures excellent conditions for conducting and communicating on scientific projects while facilitating researchers’ professional integration. We are careful to ensure that contract length is adequate to the project in question and that contract researchers have the independence required for their work.
For hiring and hosting conditions and regulations, see our internal charter for hosting contract researchers.
INED follows the principles of the European Charter for Researchers.
