Frédérique Vidal, Minister of "Enseignement supérieur, de la Recherche et de l’Innovation", and Guillaume Boudy, Secrétaire général pour l’investissement, announced on 8 February 2019 the list of 103 laboratories of excellence (LabEx) that Prime Minister Edouard Philippe has decided to extend for 5 years following a positive evaluation by an international jury.
This jury, chaired by Sir Malcolm Grant, former Vice-President of Cambridge University, former President of University College London and the UK National Health Service, was charged with evaluating these dossiers and proposing the list of LabExs, which it considered should be extended.
The scientific and technological results obtained by these LabEx, as well as the impact of their activities on the scientific communities, show the relevance and interest of the exceptional support provided by the State to these 103 LabEx, including Labex Ipops.
