Michael Levin, consultant for IPUMS [International archives and disseminates census microdata]

Dr. Michael Levin retired in 2007 from the International Programs Center of the US Census Bureau, but has continued to work as an expert microdata consultant for IPUMS, UNFPA, African Development Bank, National Statistics Offices, and others.  Dozens of household microdatasets have been recovered thanks to Mike’s missions in Africa, Asia, and the Pacific. Mike will discuss his work with census microdata, and urge researchers to archive household microdata with IPUMS-International.
