Resources and documentation

INED offers a wide range of publications and documentary resources to internet users and visitors.

The library, is open to the public and its catalogue is available on line. Its collections date back to the creation of INED in 1945 and new additions are presented every month. The Documentation service offers a range of document retrieval tools and answers user’s questions and requests.

INED publishes the scientific journal Population and a series of book collections presenting different aspects of demographic research. INED’s publications are available at its bookshop, or by mail order using the order form on this website. The monthly information bulletin Population & Societies is also available in electronic format. It presents a different topic every month.

INED conducts population surveys whose results are published in scientific papers and journals. The survey references are listed in a database, which also includes the original survey questionnaires. INED is a partner of the Quetelet network, through which it provides researchers with original data from survey interviews.
