Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS)
Since 1984, the Demographic and Health Surveys program (DHS) has collected, analysed and disseminated accurate and representative data on population, health, HIV and nutrition through more than 200 surveys in over 75 countries.
Fertility and Family survey (FFS)
These surveys have been conducted in the 1990s in about 20 ECE member countries. Standard country table gives access to 36 tables on economic, social, cultural and population indicators, household structure, partnership formation, fertility, contraception, sexual behaviour, contraception, abortion, female employment and children, summary measures for selected life events.For the period 2000-03, the PAU launched a project called "Generations and Gender: Research into their behaviour and quality of life". Some activities related to the FFS project continue under this new project. It will provide cross-sectional and longitudinal data, through a three-wave panel study with three-year intervals, covering the resident population aged 18 - 79 years of both sexes of the participating countries
Living Standards Measurement Study (LSMS)
LSMS household surveys collect data in developing countries to assess household welfare, to understand household behaviour and to evaluate the effect of various government policies on the living conditions of population.
World Fertility Survey (WFS)
A collection of internationally comparable surveys of human fertility conducted in 41 developing countries in the late seventies and early eighties
