This research unit brings together INED, INSERM and the Universities of Paris-Saclay and Versailles-Saint- Quentin-en- Yvelines. Its researchs areas are sexuality, contraceptive practices, abortion and medically assisted reproduction. Unit research covers the different dimensions of health (physical, mental and social) but also gender, particularly in connection with gender relations and sexualities. The team’s approach is multidisciplinary, at the intersection of demography, sociology, epidemiology, economics of health, and clinical studies. Unit studies draw not only on major general population surveys but also complex administrative databases, including those of the greater Paris region public hospital system, now accessible to researchers.
